JOB SUMMARY:

The Director of Business Systems will be responsible for the strategy development, operational support and management of certain business systems, applications and tools used to run the business.  

The qualified individual will collaborate with cross functional teams including Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, Finance, Customer Support, Professional Services and Engineering to drive productivity by improving, automating and integrating systems and processes.  In this role, you will report directly to the Chief Financial Officer and manage one to two people.

SPECIFIC DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Create and own the management and delivery of a prioritized roadmap for internal technology investments, ensuring that it aligns with the overall company strategy and vision and considers emerging technologies.

  • Build impactful relationships with business partners as you collaborate across teams regarding systems applications to understand current business needs and anticipate and plan for the future.

  • Support internal employees using the applications below and ensure that solutions to users’ needs are identified and executed in a timely and efficient manner.

  • Support systems including:  Salesforce, Financial Force, Intacct, Bill.com, Stripe, Plaid, Sisense, Concur, DocuSign, Right Signature and potentially Adaptive Planning.

  • Analyze existing processes and make recommendations to streamline the processes and use of all systems. Establish and apply best practices.

  • Oversee and collaborate with department systems administrators/ operations / business owners on the requirements gathering, business process mapping, system selection and technical aspects of systems implementations or modifications.

  • Ensure data integrity, information security and consistency of data across multiple systems.

  • Facilitate contract compliance, renewal and successful performance of all managed service providers, business tools, and related projects.

  • Develop and manage key performance indicators to measure the effectiveness of projects and operational support.  

  • Participate in the SOC and financial audits and ensure that all audit controls are adhered to.

  • Inspire, lead and grow team members.  Foster a learning environment that encourages growth, accountability and positive culture.

SKILLS and EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum of 8+ years of relevant experience with verifiable project management, business process improvement and systems and application management experience.

  • Demonstrated experience with the administration and management of above systems (Salesforce, Intacct, Sisense, etc.).  

  • Demonstrated ability to balance multi-tasking and multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.

  • Demonstrated ability to exercise considerable independent judgment, employ strong diagnostic, analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Demonstrated ability in taking ownership and driving results.

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

  • Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or closely-related discipline.

  • Fast learner, self-starter, proactive, positive, creative, flexible, comfortable working in a dynamic, fast paced work environment.
